FAQ’s
1. Are you a licensed contractor?
Yes, we hold a general B license in the state of CA.
2. Do you have insurance?
Yes, we have general liability insurance in the amount of $2M per occurrence.
3. I’ve never grown inside, is it difficult?
It is definitely much different from growing outdoors however, it is not difficult and the results are amazing! There are many available resources for first time or novice growers.
4. Do you offer technical support?
Yes, we do offer technical support in the form of telephone, email and in home visits.
5. How much does a typical room cost?
Each project is different and nothing is typical in this trade. All projects may vary in size, ease of construction, equipment choices, etc. There are many variables associated with the total cost of the project which is why our highly trained staff is available to assist clients in making the best decisions about their grow room and get the best value for their investment.
6. How much electricity do these rooms require?
Again, energy use is dependent on the size of the room and how many different lights and fans are utilized. Typically, depending on size, you could expect the cost of your electrical bill to be raised by fifty to a couple hundred dollars.
7. How much water do these room require and how often do I have to change the water?
Filling a reservoir can be compared to filling a bathtub and this needs to be done every 5 -10 days. In most instances increased water bills are barely noticeable and stay below county usage limits.
8. What kind of payment options do you offer?
We accept most forms payment including all major credit cards. We ask for a material and scheduling deposit and depending on the longevity of the project we may require progress payments.
9. How long does it take to harvest?
Every plant is different, thus making it difficult to estimate a harvest time for varied plant species. A general estimate for most plants is two months; though some take less time and some take more.
10. What kind of yield can we expect?
Again, this depends on the type of plant; however, it is a fact that a plant grown hydroponically produces a much higher yield that in its soil counterpart. A plant grown in soil will have a much larger root ball and less fruit than a plant grown hydroponically which is the opposite of that.
11. Are the rooms that you build really noisy?
All materials used in the construction of the rooms are geared towards sound reduction. Everything from the soundboard sheetrock, to acoustic caulking help keep noise to a minimum. Top of the line equipment used within the grow room runs quietly and is padded to reduce vibrations.
12. What about odor?
Similar to the reduction of sound, there are ways to minimize odors coming from your room. High tech carbon filters attached to exhaust fans both clean air being sucked from the room as well as muffling the sound of the fan.
13. Is it legal to build a grow room in my house?
Absolutely, there aren’t any laws that prohibit someone from constructing and maintaining a hydroponic grow room.
14. What about confidentiality?
All of our agreements have a confidentiality clause written within. All GGB employees are highly reliable and have worked with us for years. They are all heavily pre-screened before hiring and all have signed confidentiality agreements with GGB.
